Move

Her room was lit by candles scented with fruits and berries
Their warm smoke twirled as we sat and mused upon life and dreams
Whilst we talked our reflections twisted and melted together
As the pupil glass of the window pane was buffeted by the wind

You've got to move with the moment
There's a beautiful world to find
You've got to move with the moment
There's a beautiful world to find

The conversation flicked and warmed with the candle flames
And like fireflies in love our words began to dance and mesmerize
Through our talking we saw in ourselves strange truths and beauties
And time had slipped by to leave dawn a hair's breadth away

You've got to move with the moment
There's a beautiful world outside
You've got to move with the moment
There's a beautiful world outside

And we went for a walk
On frosted paths through silver trees
And all the dawnlight lit the world so

We saw a fox which paused mid-stride to look at us
It moved a moment later and was out of sight
When we retraced our frozen steps we felt the need to dream
And we parted with a dizzy kiss for the same thought crossed our minds

You've got to move with the moment
It's a beautiful day outside
You've got to move with the moment
It's a beautiful day outside
